5th Annual Peace Festival
The Peace Festival, hosted by the Peace Islands Institute in honor of International Peace Day, is a vibrant celebration of unity and community spirit. Set in the heart of New Jersey, this event brings together individuals from all walks of life to promote peace, dialogue, and friendship in a joyful, diverse environment. The festival features a relaxed 45-minute bike and walk event, where participants are encouraged to join with family and friends to enjoy the beauty of our shared community. Afterward, attendees can look forward to lively stage performances, delicious food, and a variety of festivities that capture the essence of togetherness.
International Peace Day, observed globally every year on September 21st, was established by the United Nations in 1981. This day is dedicated to promoting world peace, focusing on the sustainable elimination of war and violence. For 2024, the theme is “Cultivating a Culture of Peace,” emphasizing the importance of fostering a global environment where peace is nurtured and sustained.
Attached is the booklet for this event. Please check it out and join us on September 8th!
