Youth Leadership Education DC Trip

April 5–7, 2025

Young participants from Peace Islands Institute took part in the Youth Leadership Education DC Trip, hosted by the National Council for Civic Awareness (NCCA). Over the course of the trip, students had the opportunity to visit key institutions in Washington, D.C., including the U.S. Capitol, and engage with policymakers and civic leaders. Dressed professionally and representing diverse backgrounds, the students explored topics such as leadership, civic responsibility, and public service. This powerful experience empowered youth to become more informed, engaged citizens and future changemakers.
