Annual Ramadan Friendship Dinner at Chart House
Peace Islands Institute (PII) was honored to have hosted the Annual Ramadan Friendship Iftar Dinner last night at the Charthouse, overlooking the Manhattan skyline. This event, celebrating unity and togetherness, brought diverse communities together during Ramadan, fostering friendship, harmony, and understanding. The dinner promoted interfaith dialogue among various religious, cultural, and ethnic groups. Attendees shared traditions and values while breaking bread together during Iftar, the evening meal ending the daily fast.
We were privileged to have Senator Nia H. Gill, Weehawken Mayor Richard Turner, Paterson Mayor Andre Sayegh, Bergen County Sheriff Anthony Cureton, Somerset County Sheriff Darrin Russo, Commissioner Maria J. Andrade, and Hudson County Commissioner among many other distinguished community and interfaith leaders in attendance.
