The Annual “Pedal for Peace” Bike & Walk Event

The Annual Peace Festival also known as Bike and Walk: Pedal for Peace event held at Saddle River County Park on October 8th, 2023, was a resounding success. Over 100 participants, including families, partners, sponsors, and esteemed guests, gathered to celebrate the occasion. Aligned with the theme of International Peace Day, the event aimed to highlight the significance of building unity, peace, and friendship and ending racism within our community featuring Doner Kebab and live music by Gabriel Aldort and Fatih, adding to the joyful atmosphere. Participants eagerly embraced the crowd’s diversity, and opportunity to connect with one another through biking and walking activities. The opening speech by PII Director Adam B. Ozdemir, followed by a compelling address from Bergen County Sheriff Anthony Cureton, emphasized the event’s importance.
