Annual Hate Crime Symposium Visit

Peace Islands Institute sponsored and attended the FBI Newark Citizens Academy Alumni Association’s annual Hate Crime Symposium in partnership with the FBI Newark Division. Held at the Hudson County School of Technology in Secaucus, NJ, the event featured key law enforcement and civil rights leaders discussing the recognition, reporting, and prosecution of hate crimes. Attendees heard from speakers including FBI agents, state police, and county prosecutors, focusing on the importance of community action in combating hate crimes.
