The Art and Essay Contest Winners Have Been Announced!

The 12th Annual Art and Essay Contest Winners Have Been Announced!

The 12th Art and Essay Contest was held this year, on June 16, 2022, at Montclair State University, in the conference center. Over 100 participants, including students, family members, and teachers attended.

This event highlighted the more than 150 applications from students that displayed their exceeding artistic or writing skills, in this year’s important theme: mental health & wellness.

Many students along with families and teachers were very excited to participate in the year-round event. 

At the Award Ceremony, the winners of the Art and Essay Contest were announced and awarded for their work. 

A total of 32 awards were given in 16 different art categories and 16 essay categories. 

PII Director Adam B. Ozdemir and PII Board President Nuray Yurt made their opening speeches. 

Professor, Chairperson of the Department of Art and Design Montclair State University Abby Lillethun and Director of Bergen Art Center Tim Blunk were the keynote speakers of the event.
